Background Information

The Smith in Africa Reunion is an alum-led regional gathering bringing together Smith College alumni who are connected to Africa for conversation, learning, and community building. We have designed the programme to create meaningful shared experiences while allowing time to engage with Cape Town’s rich cultural, historical, and contemporary life. Formal conference sessions are concentrated on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday and Sunday reserved for optional, experiential activities and informal connection.
